September 9, 2025 | Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (The Arabian Wall Street)INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025, the kingdom’s premier interiors, furniture, and fit-out trade event, opens its doors today at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre, welcoming over 400 exhibitors from 33 countries. The three-day expo, which runs until September 11, is set to be the largest edition yet, drawing significant attention as it coincides with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030.

A hub for innovation and sustainability

This year’s INDEX Saudi Arabia builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last year with the Architecture and Design Commission to strengthen the event’s role in shaping the future of Saudi Arabia’s built environment. The exhibition highlights the growing demand for sustainable design, with innovative products and culturally inspired solutions aligned with the kingdom’s major giga-projects.

Held in partnership with the Lighting Design & Technology Expo, INDEX Saudi Arabia brings together global and regional brands under one roof, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Jasmeet Bakshi, Vice President of Design and Hospitality at dmg events, commented: “INDEX Saudi Arabia blends global excellence with Saudi creativity, showcasing cutting-edge solutions for the kingdom’s evolving design landscape.”

International participation and local talent

This year’s event features 12 international pavilions, including delegations from France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and South Africa. Renowned global brands such as Geberit, Kohler, and Villeroy & Boch will exhibit alongside prominent regional players like Guthmi, Masdar, and Marvel.

The INDEX Design Talks will also feature over 80 thought leaders, addressing key themes like “Collaborate to Build,” “Design that Works,” and “Innovate for Impact.” Attendees can explore trends through Trend Tours, which offer curated walkthroughs of sustainability pioneers, design disruptors, and Saudi-made brands.

Empowering Saudi talent

A key feature of the event is the Future Stars Student Competition, which offers aspiring Saudi interior designers the chance to present their final projects to leading design agencies and secure internships.

Sustainable design for the future

Guthmi, the diamond sponsor, will unveil 26 sustainable textile ranges, particularly designed for Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding hospitality and residential sectors. Zainub Khan, Textile Consultant at Guthmi, highlighted the demand for long-lasting, eco-conscious fabrics, noting: “Saudi Arabia is full of opportunities, with mega-projects expanding at an unprecedented pace. Interior designers and real estate developers are seeking locally available, premium solutions.”

Geberit, the Swiss leader in sanitary systems, will present products focused on efficiency, performance, and sustainability, aligning with the kingdom’s need for smart water management and energy-efficient designs.

Driving national goals

The Architecture and Design Commission’s strategic partnership with INDEX Saudi Arabia reflects its efforts to elevate the kingdom’s design sector and support local businesses through a series of initiatives. The “Designed in Saudi” programme will be featured at the event, showcasing products that bear the official Saudi seal for industrial design.

With the region’s rapid infrastructure growth and increased demand for smart, sustainable solutions, INDEX Saudi Arabia 2025 is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of design in the Middle East.
