The Al-Kharj Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-profit organization that plays a vital role in developing the economy of al-Kharj Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Al-Kharj Chamber was established under Ministerial Resolution No. 5921 and began its operations on July 13, 2005. From its inception, it has enjoyed full legal personality and financial and administrative independence under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce. Its first chairman was Ibrahim Bin Mohammed al-Hudaithi, who helped shape its early direction. The chamber comprises a general assembly, a board of directors, and a general secretariat.
Work System and Objectives

Board of Directors and Committees
The Board of Directors of the Al-Kharj Chamber is elected every four years and comprises no more than eighteen members. Members cannot represent more than one commercial establishment or serve more than two consecutive terms. The board is tasked with appointing and dismissing the Secretary-General, forming committees, and supervising policies and strategies.
The chamber includes three specialized committees:
- Entrepreneurs Committee – supporting startups and innovation.
- Contractors Committee – addressing construction and contracting sector needs.
- Lawyers Committee – providing guidance on legal and regulatory matters.

Training and Employment Centers
The Training Center of the Al-Kharj Chamber provides in-person, remote, and e-training programs to equip Saudi youth with the skills necessary to join the private sector. The programs focus on capacity building, professional development, and preparing the workforce to meet market demands.
The Employment Center complements this effort by connecting local talent with private sector establishments. It supports labor market localization, creates job opportunities, and strengthens workforce stability, aligning with national objectives for sustainable employment.
