Trump Leads Intense Gaza Talks With Middle East

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Gaza talks with Middle Eastern nations have been “intense” and will continue as long as necessary to reach a resolution. Leaders from multiple Muslim-majority countries are actively engaged, and both Israel and Palestinian Hamas militants are aware of the ongoing discussions.

Trump met with regional officials this week, presenting proposals that reportedly include a comprehensive 21-point Middle East peace plan. “Negotiations have been ongoing for four days and will continue until a successfully completed agreement is reached,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, adding that the talks have been “inspired and productive.”

The Gaza conflict has escalated following Israeli airstrikes, which killed hundreds of Palestinians, drawing widespread international condemnation. Images of starving children and displaced families have heightened global concerns, with multiple rights organizations and U.N. inquiries labeling the crisis a potential genocide.

Israel maintains its actions are a form of self-defense after the October 2023 Hamas attack that killed 1,200 people and left over 250 hostages. Trump’s administration is seeking to mediate a solution despite ongoing Israeli military operations, with U.S. officials indicating that a breakthrough in the Gaza talks could happen soon.

The stakes remain high as the humanitarian crisis intensifies, and diplomatic efforts continue to prevent further escalation in the region.
