LAGOS – The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited has halted self-collection gantry sales of petroleum products at its facility, effective September 18, 2025, directing marketers to adopt its Free Delivery Scheme instead.
The refinery explained that the decision is an operational adjustment aimed at boosting efficiency and ensuring smoother supply chains. In an official statement, the Group Commercial Operations Department announced that all self-collection gantry sales are suspended until further notice, urging marketers to register for the DPRP Free Delivery Scheme, which delivers directly to retail outlets.
Dangote Refinery emphasized that the delivery scheme is designed to stabilize supply, reduce costs, and enhance convenience for station operators.
The move comes amid ongoing disputes with the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) over subsidy demands and pricing structures.
Despite resistance from some marketers, Dangote Refinery reaffirmed its commitment to defending its operations from misleading reports and maintaining transparency in Nigeria’s petroleum supply chain.
