The Saudi Pro League (SPL) continues to enhance its global appeal with the announcement of a four-year extension of its media rights agreement with IMG. This strategic partnership, which started in 2023, has seen impressive growth in the league’s international broadcast reach, ensuring that the Saudi Pro League is now available in over 184 countries across six continents.

Saudi Pro League Media Rights Deal Extended

The SPL has become one of the most exciting football leagues in the world, attracting major international media platforms. With IMG’s help, the distribution of the Roshn Saudi League (RSL) has expanded significantly, with matches being aired on more than 43 global platforms, including ESPN in Africa, DAZN in DACH and France, Movistar in Spain, and FOX Sports in the USA, Mexico, and Latin America.

Roland Nikolaou, VP of Football at IMG, remarked: “The Saudi Pro League has grown rapidly in recent years and continues to push the boundaries for football in the region. Our work together has enhanced the reach and appeal of the league, and we are excited to support its next phase of growth.”

Expanding Global Football Coverage

This partnership not only extends media rights but also enhances production quality. IMG’s collaboration with the Saudi Pro League includes a new five-year production deal starting in the 2024-25 season, aiming to improve the viewing experience of major Saudi football events like the RSL, King’s Cup, and Saudi Super Cup.

A Bright Future for Saudi Football

With this deal, IMG is poised to further amplify the SPL’s growth globally. The league’s rising popularity, aided by world-class broadcasting and innovative production, continues to attract football fans worldwide. The extension promises to elevate Saudi football, helping the league secure its place among the world’s most watched football competitions.

The partnership with IMG is also expected to boost revenue and fanbase expansion for Saudi football, ultimately contributing to the long-term success of the Pro League.
