ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) advanced its agenda on Tuesday at the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional leaders, senior officials, and youth representatives gathered to deliberate on empowerment, values, and leadership.
The summit was attended by the Ejeh of Ankpa as Royal Father of the Day, representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Chief of Defense Staff, the Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Secretary General, NANS delegates, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Talks focused on strengthening youth participation in nation-building, enhancing innovation for sustainable development, and creating mechanisms to channel complaints and escalate unresolved issues through the NCC. A panel explored policy, innovation, and rehabilitation strategies designed to improve opportunities for young people.
UPAM leaders described the gathering as a strategic engagement ahead of the movement’s upcoming launch, noting that partnerships formed at such events will strengthen future programs and attract wider support.
Africa Arise Summit Engagement
UPAM also participated in the Africa Arise Summit 2025, hosted by convener Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and lead facilitator of the ARISE initiative.
The event honored King Makers and Community Service Heroes for outstanding contributions, while also showcasing youth talent from The Lioners Academy. UPAM representatives held talks with summit leaders to explore partnership opportunities, emphasizing service, leadership, and Pan-African unity.
“This reinforced our vision for partnership and leadership rooted in service,” said Comr. Williams John, UPAM General Secretary, who attended alongside other representatives.
With its involvement in both summits, the United Pan-Africanist Movement is laying the foundation for wider influence, mobilizing youth, and expanding its Pan-African vision ahead of its official launch.
