Dubai – Dubai-based developer Kleindienst Group has revealed the concept design for its new 96-key Hygge Hotel, slated to open in the first half of 2027. The boutique property will be located within the company’s ambitious Heart of Europe development on The World Islands, promising a hospitality experience that blends emotional well-being, innovation, and Danish-inspired comfort.
The hotel draws its name from the Danish term hygge—a lifestyle philosophy centered around contentment, simplicity, and joy. In bringing this vision to life, Kleindienst aims to create a hotel that offers “a home of happiness,” where guests can reconnect with what truly matters through intentional design and immersive comfort.
“With Hygge Hotel, we are not just unveiling a new property; we are opening the doors to a home of happiness,” said Josef Kleindienst, Founder and Chairman of Kleindienst Group.
A Fusion of Architecture and Artificial Intelligence
Hygge Hotel is being developed in collaboration with HWKN Architecture DPC, a leading firm known for merging artificial intelligence with design. AI tools were used to guide contextual research, shape architectural features, and align the property’s aesthetic with its emotional and cultural intent.
Matthias Hollwich, Founding Principal of HWKN, remarked:
“We approached the hotel as a cultural narrative, not just a building. With New York ambition and European roots, our aim was to push the boundaries of hospitality design.”
From façade to interiors, every element is crafted to exude comfort, warmth, and simplicity. Soft textures, natural materials, and ambient lighting create a calm, home-like atmosphere, while four distinct dining outlets and wellness zones provide immersive, restorative experiences.
Hospitality Reimagined Through Emotional Design
Kleindienst’s vision for the hotel extends far beyond aesthetics. Every guest touchpoint—from communal lounges to seasonal menus and ritual-based wellness—is curated to evoke a sense of belonging and peace.
“True luxury is emotional,” said Kleindienst. “Hygge Hotel embraces that philosophy through human-centered hospitality, prioritizing thoughtful design, comfort, and emotional connection.”
The 96-room property will include:
- Four restaurants emphasizing seasonal, heartfelt cuisine
- Wellness zones including saunas and quiet meditation areas
- Communal corners designed to foster connection and relaxation
- A façade and layout that tell a distinct cultural story
Sales for units at Hygge Hotel will officially launch on July 25 during an exclusive event hosted by Kleindienst Group.
Positioned within The Heart of Europe’s themed islands—each inspired by a different European region—Hygge Hotel adds a deeply personal and emotionally resonant layer to one of Dubai’s most visionary master plans.
