Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SSP) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrically resistance welded steel pipes (ERW) for the energy, industrial and construction segments in the Middle East and North Africa. SSP offers oil and gas customers a full range of products including Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), Line Pipe, API and Premium Connections and related accessories and services. It also serves customers in the industrial and construction segment with a wide range of black and galvanized pipes. SSP products are manufactured according to stringent international and national quality and safety standards. Its certifications include ISO 9001, API Q1, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 respectively for Quality Management, Safety and Environmental Management Systems. SSP is also qualified with major national oil and gas companies and EPC contractors in the region. SSP main product certifications include API 5L, API 5CT, UL6, UL852 & FM. The company also provides material for the industrial and construction segments under ASTM A53, ANSI C80.1, EN 39, EN 10219, BS 1387 / BS EN 10255 specifications. SSP facilities are located in the Second Industrial City of Dammam and it has a service and distribution network covering more than 20 countries. The company employs over 350 employees with a Saudization rate over 55%. Company History
SSP is the first pipe producer in the Kingdom with over 40 years of history. It was initially incorporated as a limited liability mixed industrial company (Saudi-Korean) under Commercial Registration Number 2050009144 dated 27 Rajab 1400H (corresponding to 11 June 1980G). The company was then converted into a closed joint stock company pursuant to the Minister of Commerce and Industry Resolution No. 187 dated 03/06/1429H (corresponding to 07/06/2008G). In 2009, SSP was listed on Tadawul, embarking on an ambitious journey to lead pipe technology and services in the region. It raised its yearly production capacity to over 400 thousand tons in sizes from 1/2 inches to 20 inches OD, and added coating services for up to 30 inches, and bending services for up to 60 inches OD. In 2019, Tenaris acquired 47.79% of SSP shares and rebranded the company to TenarisSaudiSteelPipes.
