Saudi Cable Company (SCC) is a joint stock Company with ownership in several manufacturing facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Kingdom of Bahrain and Turkey. These companies are engaged in the Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning and Maintenance of Power Cable, ranging from Extra High Voltage, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, Building Wires, Telecommunication Cables, Instrumentation, Specialty Control Cables, Electrical Sub-Stations, Switch Gears, Electrical Cables Accessories and Transformers. Additionally, SCC Group has a network of distribution for the supply of all types of cables and associated electrical products from several of its Warehouses. It also supports its customers through a total solution for the Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning and Maintenance of Electrical Systems with the state-of-the-art Digital and Information Technology System.
Company History
Saudi Cable Company was established as a limited liability company in the year 1396H (1976G) with an initial capital of SR3.5 million and main objective of Manufacturing/ Trading of and dealing in copper rod, power cables and wires ( all sizes and tensions),Communication cables and wires ( copper/fiber optic), ground conductors for electrical uses and communication, PVC insulating compounds, wooden reels and pallets, etc. Within a short span of time the company progressed well and emerged as a pioneer in cable manufacturing and marketing in the Middle East. The Company was converted into a joint stock company in 1409H (1988G) with a paid up capital of SR270 million. In due course of time the Company share capital was raised to SR760 million with 12,453 registered shareholders (as of 29/11/2015). At the end of the year 2015, the locals Saudi and Turkish, constituted 59% of the total Group workforce of 1,833 employees, as compared to 57% of 1,759 employees at the end of 2014.
