The company s main activity is to produce cement and clinker through the company s plant located in Rabigh, north of Jeddah, which is near the company s main markets. Due to the cement demand growth, a new production line (Line 5) was added in 1417H (1996) with a production capacity of 4000 tons of clinker daily and the total plant production capacity has reached to 8000 tons of clinker daily. In 1430H (2009), an additional production expansion has been added to the plant (Line 6) with a high technology and a production capacity of 7000 tons of clinker daily, and the four old production lines has been retired, thereby the total production capacity of the plant has reached 11000 tons of clinker daily. The continuous improvements of the operational processes have also led to a higher production capacity of the plant reaching up to 12200 tons of clinker daily, which is equivalent to 13000 tons of Ordinary Portland cement daily. In 1428H (2007), the company has established/founded Qutrana Cement Company in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (with direct ownership of 86.74%) with a high technology and a production capacity of 5000 tons of clinker daily, which is equivalent to 5300 tons of Ordinary Portland Cement daily and the company entered its commercial operation in 2011.

Arabian Cement Company is as a Saudi joint stock company incorporated in accordance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia s Companies Law by royal decree No. 731 of 12 Jumada Al Awwal 1374H / 5 January 1955. The company operates under a commercial registration No. 4030000148 issued in Jeddah dated 14 Ramadan 1376H / 13 April 1957. Arabian Cement Company is the first cement company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the Arabian Gulf, and King Saud bin Abdul Aziz may he rest in peace put the foundation-stone of Jeddah Plant in 1376H (1957) and the company reached a production capacity of 2000 tons of Clinker daily by the year 1395H (1975). Given the urban growth, the plant was relocated to Rabigh in 1404H (1984) with a production capacity increased to 4000 tons of Clinker daily, and commercial operations started in 1406H (1986) during the period of the custodian of the two holy mosques, king Fahad Bin Abdulaziz may he rest in peace.
